Recently, coauthor Ray Hartjen visited with Khaled Abdallah, one of the hosts of the 40/40 Vision Podcast to talk about the best-seller, Immaculate: How the Steelers Saved Pittsburgh. This sit-down wasn’t insignificant in i’s own right, for it took some doing for Khaled to reach out in the first place.
You see, Khaled is a die-hard, faithfully committed member of … gasp! … Raider Nation. It’s true! However, don’t let that mislead you—Khaled is a good guy who loves to talk about football. In fact, he refers to football as his favorite five sports in his No. 1 through No. 5 ranking of favorite sports.
That’s the kind of football fan to whom we can relate!
The discussion between Khaled and Ray covered those great Steelers teams and players from the 1970s, and included, naturally, a bit about the Immaculate Reception (still referred to by some in Raider Nation as the “Immaculate Deception”). They also talk about all those great players who changed the course of the NFL — players like Mean Joe Greene and Mel Blount.
You've got multiple choices for accessing the podcast. If you want the video (and who wouldn't want to watch Ray?), you can access it on YouTube here.
